Permit to Carry class coming to Grygla.
For those looking to earn or renew their Minnesota Permit to Carry, local veteran Luke Nordvick of Nordvick Arms, LLC is bringing his certified training course to Grygla later this month.
The next class will be held Saturday, June 28th, at 11:30am at The Hound. The cost is $70, and the training is open to both first-time applicants and renewals. Participants must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to possess firearms.
Because of a recent legal decision, the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling, upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court, 18-year-olds in Minnesota are now able to apply for a Permit to Carry.
Nordvick Arms is a veteran-owned business, and Luke brings a deep background of knowledge, certification and practical experience to the classroom. His course is approved by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and includes instruction based on certifications from respected organizations like the NRA, USCCA, Rangemaster and Law of Self Defense.
What to expect from the class:
Firearm safety and responsible handling
Use of force principles and Minnesota state laws
Realistic scenario training
Range time (hearing and eye protection included)
The importance of choosing the right self-defense ammunition
Luke also shares some great information on his Nordvick Arms, LLC Facebook page, with articles and perspectives from a variety of sources, including his own. One post worth checking out is a piece he wrote for ConcealedCarry.com in October 2024, titled Opportunities not to be the gray man. It offers his take on a commonly discussed topic in the firearm and self-defense community. You’ll find the article linked below.
Want a class on your schedule? Luke also offers private permit-to-carry training by request, tailored to your preferred date and location.
