Local brands, unique finds and Minnesota-made products now on the shelves.

The Grygla General Store truly is a one-stop shop. You can find groceries, a hardware department, including paint with supplies, and even off-sale all under one roof. Now, owner Cheyenne Irlbeck has added yet another reason to stop in. The back room of the store has been transformed into a home décor and gift collection that is already open for browsing and will be fully ready just in time for the holiday season.

The space features a growing lineup of local brands and unique finds. Sannes Coffee Company, roasted right in Middle River, was among the first items to hit the shelves. In fact, the first batch was roasted the very same day Cheyenne picked it up. 3 Farm Daughters of Grand Forks is another vendor, offering pasta made with just two ingredients. Soon, shoppers will also find honey from Bolstad Bees near Viking. Betts Pottery from Grygla adds a local touch, along with cozy Grygla shirts designed by Nelson Ink out of Middle River. Coming soon will be items from Crooked Halo of Hawley, known for hats, can coolers and more.

The collection doesn’t stop there. Other vendors include Terrapin Jams & Jellies, Amish Country Popcorn, and Unearthed Botanicals, which carries simmer pots, shower steamers and bath salts. /Kit-sch/ is a hair care brand with everything from clips and wraps to scalp exfoliators. For the kitchen, Fox Run Brands and Rada Cutlery are now stocked. Rustic Farm offers additional home décor, while “Grill Your Ass Off” brings in a seasoning line that gives back to veterans with every purchase. Shoppers can also find a variety of Minnesota-made giftware.

Cheyenne said some customers worried that the new collection would mean less room for hardware, but she reassures shoppers that nothing has been taken away. The hardware department is still fully stocked, just reorganized with taller shelves and better shelfing. Paint, tools and supplies are all still available, as well.

Expanding the store, Cheyenne explained, has always been about listening to what community members want and need. From daily essentials to unique gifts, The Grygla General Store continues to evolve while staying true to its mission of serving the community.

Fall is in the air and we all know that means holiday shopping isn’t far behind. Luckily, you don’t even have to leave town to get started.
