Glamour and Grace Formal is making sure our corner of Minnesota looks sharp.
Sisters Katie Brobst, of Grygla, and Torie Locken, of Strathcona, know what it’s like to get ready for a big day. The two have each been a part of a few weddings over the years and one thing has stood out: there just aren’t many places this far north to find formal wear. “Over the past year alone, Torie and I have been in two weddings together and it felt like we were driving all over the state to find formal wear for ourselves and our family members,” Katie explained. Somewhere along the way, what started as a joke about how the two should start their own formal wear company, now turned into a business plan!
That’s what sparked the idea for Glamour and Grace Formal, now serving Roseau County and the surrounding areas. The business offers suits and tuxedos for rent or purchase, along with accessories like ties, dress shoes, dress shirts and socks.
The rental process is simple. For events like homecoming or prom, customers can meet with Torie or Katie to look through display books filled with colors and styles of suits or tuxedos, then get measured. Weddings get a dedicated fitting day for the groom and wedding party. Orders can be shipped directly to each person or sent to Torie and Katie, who will deliver them on the big day. After the event, they also take care of pick-up, making the whole experience as stress-free as possible.
Right now, Glamour and Grace focuses on suits and tuxedos, but the sisters are already thinking about expanding their offerings in the future. With homecoming season just about here, wedding season always in motion and prom around the corner in no time, they’re ready to help people look their best for every milestone.
“It’s nice to finally have a formal wear option right here in the area,” Katie said. “We’re excited to help make these special events just a little easier for people.” They’re also open to potential partnerships with schools, photographers and local venues.
