Fritchman Orchards North is getting ready for its seasonal opening in Goodridge, just in time for the Goodridge Freedom Fest next month. Cherry picking has recently started at the family’s orchard in Colorado, and the fruit will soon be getting hauled north.

The opening weekend is set for July 25th. Cherries and peaches are expected to be ready for purchase at their fruit shed, located kitty-corner from the Goodridge Veterans Park. Sales will be on a first come, first serve basis, with about 900 boxes of peaches available, along with a generous amount of cherries.

The orchard is operated locally by Kris and Christina Kvick, who bring the produce in from their family-run orchard in Colorado. Throughout the season, a variety of fruits and vegetables will be available, including apples, pears, tomatoes, cantaloupe and watermelon.
