The community will be invited to take part in the ceremony later this year.
If you've got an old, worn or ripped flag you need to dispose of, Grygla’s American Legion Post #162 is collecting flags for proper retirement. As you know, U.S. flags should never be thrown away.
You can drop off your flag with Wayne Warne (218-684-1480) at the American Legion building.
The American Legion plans to hold a traditional flag retirement ceremony once a year. Community members would be invited to take part in honoring the flag through this respectful process.
